The role
As an Emergency Planning Officer you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.

You'll provide emergency arrangements to respond to nuclear accidents and major conventional incidents to protect the operators, workforce and public at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Your key responsibilities will include;

  • Production and maintenance of corporate emergency response documentation
  • Produce and maintain essential persons documentation ensuring compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations
  • Design, delivery and evaluation of emergency response and business continuity training packages
  • Conduct risk assessments for the Emergency Planning Group and the emergency arrangements

Essential experience of the Emergency Planning Officer:

  • Good knowledge of the emergency arrangements and emergency planning
  • Displays flexibility, enthusiasm and commitment
Due to the nature of this role, this is working predominately on-site full time in Devonport Royal Dockyard.

We offer flexible working however core hours are 7.30am - 15:45am Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 13:30pm on Fridays.


Qualifications for the Emergency Planning Officer:

  • ONC / A level or proven experience in Emergency Planning training
