Job Purpose To manage the day-to-day activities of the box office system, working closely with partners to maximise ticket sales and ensure excellent customer care. Provide sales and administrative support for all ticketing and commercial areas.
Key Outputs and Accountabilities
- Sell tickets to customers by telephone and online, providing an effective, efficient and courteous service.
- Liaise with ticketing agencies to resolve daily queries and customer complaints to ensure the highest quality of customer care is provided.
- Act as the primary contact for direct Group bookings, build relationships with key customers and administer reservations, invoicing and ticketing.
- Work closely with the CEO to devise sales campaigns and direct marketing initiatives, derived from database analysis.
- Prepare marketing, sales and financial reports as required. Undertake regular analysis from Spektrix data & reports to determine buying patterns, customer tracking and potential sale opportunities.
- Oversee ticket allocation of seats locked from public sale. Eg VIP and Press; process/ distribute/ monitor and release as required.
- Prepare information from Spektrix on accessible bookings and those with additional needs in advance of Show dates so any necessary arrangements can be made.
- Proactively communicate with Travel Trade representatives to ensure all parties are regularly updated.
- Supervise the box office on Show dates acting as Team Leader to coordinate the activities of the volunteer and box office staff, to ensure appropriate cover is provided.
Person Specification
Essential
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a firstclass telephone manner.
- Excellent customer care skills, with the ability to remain calm in demanding situations.
- Problem solver with good judgement and the ability to work on own initiative.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Selfmotivated, flexible and willing to switch between tasks frequently.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary to support the show schedule.
Desirable
- Experience of a box office system and advanced skills in Excel an advantage.
- Experience of working in a fastmoving, commercial environment.
- Sound banking transaction experience including processing online payments.
Job Types:
Part-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary:
£22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
