Our client is looking for a Commercial Account Handler to join their established team in the city core.

You will be expected to deliver great service to their clients, achieve ideal retention rates, and drive for expansion where appropriate.

This position is within their client's Retail Broking Division, which provides large corporations and multinationals with carefully tailored business insurance, risk management, and risk transfer solutions.

You will report directly to the Commercial Broking Manager and work with seasoned Account Executives to provide great service to their customers.




What to anticipate:

- advise customers on their risk and insurance needs, both directly and through Account Executives.

  • Negotiate with insurers to secure the best available terms for clients, utilising market expertise and the products best suited to clients' needs.
  • Always be sure you've exhausted all other possibilities before offering the best viable solution. Prepare reports based on meeting minutes and ensure that coverage is bound by the renewal date.
  • Create documentation for new clients, as well as any midterm revisions and renewals. Ensure that all client information is accurately documented and submitted into the system on time.
  • Respond to the insurer and client policy questions. Confirm coverage with relevant insurers, process policies, and follow up on outstanding documentation as needed.
  • Handle account inquiries and credit control issues

We are searching for the following skills and experience:

  • Having or working towards a Chartered Insurance Institute qualification, such as a Dip CII or FIT, would be advantageous. GCSE or equivalent education, with intermediate knowledge of the commercial insurance market.
  • Prior insurance industry experience is required, as is having worked to targets within a regulated, measurable framework and meeting SLAs.
  • Riskaware while handling customer information, 100% customercentric, and always focused on the best possible outcome for our customers.
  • Meets deadlines with diligence and process, is taskfocused, resultsoriented, and takes the initiative when aiding team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; selfassured in establishing and sustaining relationships; good planning and analytical skills with high precision and attention to detail.
  • Eligible to work in the UK
