Description

This group drives the development of the overall Network strategy including evaluating the evolution of our global supply chain footprint and our sourcing strategy on whether to manufacture internally or use contract manufacturers.

The group evaluates pipeline and growth technologies and collaborates with R&D, Global Engineering, Therapeutic Area teams, Brand Leads, and key strategic sites.

In addition to delivering a network purpose-built for the new technologies, modalities, and products, the group also evaluates our mature portfolio and impact on the network as volumes change and products are divested.


What you will do:


  • Deliver bespoke demand and capacity models for new modalities and platforms within the AstraZeneca pipeline.
  • Responsible for pipeline modeling, API demand forecasting, and scenario analysis, preparing revenue analysis, and providing strategic analysis to support investment business cases and other critical network decisions.
  • Deliver knowledge sessions across GSC&S to share learning of new modalities/platforms/products and provide impact analysis to support competitive intelligence reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or IT
  • Minimum 5 years pharma supply chain/ manufacturing experience
  • Pharma network strategy and/or Pharma brand strategy experience
  • Extensive knowledge of new modalities within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Adept at using advanced data modeling tools and visualization interfaces with experience in undertaking complex analysis to support business decisions
  • Exceptional analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities. Experience with large, complex data sets
  • Experience working in a global organization with a complex/ geographical context
  • Experience working with senior leaders to communicate complex demand and capacity models
  • High initiative, teamwork, and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:


  • MBA & chemical engineering experience
  • Understanding of AZ supply chain, planning, regulatory, and commercial processes
  • Knowledge of AZ Network and AZ Brands
  • Experience with Llamasoft SCG/ DG, data sciences, statistical analysis, and network optimization modeling
