Treasury & Management Accountant

REPORTING TO:
Financial Controller

£65,000 Dependent on experience

JOB SCOPE:

The role will be key member of the Finance team with full responsibility of the treasury function with additional management accountant duties.

The role would suit an organised individual who is keen to partner the business in ensuring current projects andnew bids have positive cash flows whilst having a firm understanding of the cash flow forecast of the business.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for all Treasury Management, be the main contact for the bank
Cash Flow Forecasting using the TM5 software
Intercompany Reconciliations (Both Internal for the UK group & External with the wider HEN group)
FX transactions incl. Revaluations as we trade in multicurrency
Debtor & Creditor ledger management plus other Ad-Hoc reconciliations
Work with Project Managers to ensure positive Cash Flow on projects with an emphasis on invoicing
Work with Purchasing to generate periodic spend profiles based on committed and forecasted Purchase Orders
Interfacing with our German colleagues, particularly on Free Cash Flow forecasts
Advise management on Cash Flow Strategies to ensure liquidity
Bank Guarantees & Letter of Credit assistance to the business in line with Group Policy
Assist in the Audit & Tax process where appropriate
Any other tasks as appropriate

EMPLOYEE COMPLIANCE:

The job holder will be expected to comply with any reasonable operational instruction or procedures relating to Company policies, reporting and controls. In particular Section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 provides a duty on every employee,while at work, to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work.
It also places a duty on employees to cooperate with their employer so far as is necessary to enable their duties to be complied with including the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Failure to comply with this duty may result in the Company invoking the disciplinary procedure.

PERSONAL SKILLS:

Excel Intermediate
VLOOKUP/SUMIFS/Pivot tables are essential
Experience of cash flow management and balance sheet reconciliations
Comfortable dealing with a range of stakeholders in the business incl. senior managers
Inquisitive mindset with interest in learning how the business works
