To proactively ensure all IT & Telecommunications systems used across the global business operations support the achievement of business objectives.
This includes the timely recommendation, introduction and effective management of new systems developments and initiatives and the achievement of prioritised projects in a risk-managed, timely and cost-effective manner.
Leading a skilled, knowledgeable,customer-orientated and motivated IT team that adhere to agreed policies, procedures, practices and standards in order to effectively meet all customer requirements from individual users to Company Board level.
- To develop and deliver an IT Strategy that supports the achievement of business operational needs and future business growth goals and objectives
- To develop a 3year plan for IT investment, including an annual plan and budget for both Operations and Development
- To define and maintain a set of IT policies and procedures that provide a Companywide framework for the use of IT, safeguarding data and operations from both internal and external threats
- To ensure existing Operational systems are maintained effectively, perform efficiently, and meet agreed service levels, with adequate backup and recovery processes and regular testing of all systems
- To ensure Customer focused, efficient and effective desktop support service is delivered to all global offices and staff
- To proactively recommend and lead the deployment of new systems and systems improvements, to support all elements of the business, with responsibility for managing priorities through the IT Steering Group to develop, maintain and monitor the portfolio ofIT projects
- To ensure effective and tailored communications regarding IT plans and progress, to Senior Management, Companywide (as required) and the IT function.
- To advise other Group companies on IT matters and manage provision of agreed IT support in line with strategic plans
