Profile - SIOP Manager
Our client is a world leader in the manufacture of niche components and systems for the aerospace sector. They have established expertise utilizing metallic and composite materials developing innovative solutions for their international client base.
Job Role - SIOP Manager
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager the SIOP Manager will manage purchase orders from external customer requests to aligning MRP setting the production plan.
Once the parts are booked to stock the Planning Manager will own the logistics processto ship to the customer in line with MPS.
The SIOP manager will be accountable for the development and adherence to internal and external measures such as, on time in full delivery, Inventory and customer communications.
Duties - SIOP Manager- General Line management, supervision and development of the Planning team
- Continually improve the Planning systems and processes through use of KPIs and visual management
- Provide input to finance regards operational plans for sales and operational processes concerning backlog and incoming volume and capacity
- Management of the material control team ensuring timely order & delivery of materials required for manufacture
- Management of the planning function ensuring timely receipt and planning of all customer orders through the manufacturing processes
- Liaise with Key stake holders to develop the financial forecast with main responsibility from the planning team on Sales & Margin forecasts
- Working closely with the operations team you will ensure that the level load schedule is agreed and adhered to and any issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Working closely with the Sales department you will ensure that the Sales forecast is fully aligned with the order intake forecast and resource plan
- Reporting to the Business Unit Manager you will ensure that any changes from the Plan are communicated and work with the Sales and Operations team to resolve any deltas
- Provide analysis to the Business unit manager regarding historical sales trend data
- Provide information for the monthly management pack submission
- Responsibility for ensuring ERP data is accurate and up to date
- Experience of production management, gained within medium volume manufacturing environment
- Experienced in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodology
- Previous experience of resource planning
- Detailed understanding of MRP and MPS planning
- P&L understanding and reporting to senior leadership
