***NHS Supply Chain are recruiting for a Head of Inbound Operations.

It is a superb time to join us as our Logistics function is undergoing the biggest, single transformational journey that the NHS has ever seen

This includes:
Upgrading our legacy systems and leveraging industry leading technology to replace our ERP and eCommerce systems, which will make it significantly easier for Trusts to do business with us

Introducing new warehousing capacity - by early 2024 we will have added an additional 800,000 square foot to our warehouses, allowing us to increase our pallet capacity by 213%

Re-procurement of our 3PL logistics contract, which commenced July 2023

Remapping our supply demand planning across the network

Looking into global freighting opportunities, where we can generate further savings by becoming the importer, rather than dealing with distributors

Looking into logistics solutions to serve the Primary Care network

Once we have our new systems in place, we will look for you build on the system foundations; to work and attend forums with the 3PL provider, your stakeholders, and the business to translate their requirements into strategic deliverables and partner with the right suppliers to make them happen.

The future might look like automation and robotics, dynamic route scheduling and predictive planning.

You will be given autonomy to shape and define these solutions.

Our aim is that we get to the point where we can predict, down to ward level, the supply chain needs of the NHS.
