A Local Authority based in the Greater Manchester region is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Child Protection service.

This recruitment drive is part of new Senior Leadership's plan to help drive improvements across Children services


Highlights:


  • Local Authority has recently brought in a new leadership team which has a proven track record of improving the performance of children services
  • Will be joining a local authority which has received a large amount of funding to help support the improvements
  • As an experienced Social workers your views and suggestions will be welcome to help develop the service
  • The Local Authority uses a Relationship Based Approach so there is more emphasis on developing meaningful relationships to provide the best outcomes
  • This is a locum friendly assignment and you will have the opportunity to attend training which is usually reserved for permanent staff
  • You will be supported by a very experienced manager who is able to close cases so that you are not holding onto cases longer than necessary


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is keen to join a Local Authority which is in the process of improving its services and practice.

You will have the opportunity to work autonomously and manage your own diary whilst alsobeing encouraged to convey your views and experiences to help drive practice improvement.


The Local Authority has recently hired a new Senior Management Team who have been tasked with the improvement of services and so far they have managed to secure additional funding to help support the developments.

This is being directly utilised to helpbring in more staff and make the offer more competitive for experienced Social Workers.


As well as an competitive pay rate you will be provided the equipment to work flexibly and from home and will only be required to do high risk visits where full PPE will be provided.


Finally, due to the nature of this post and the changes that are occurring this assignment will increase your employability prospects significantly as you will be a highly sought after practitioner who has a proven track record of helping services whichare on a improvement journey.

To be considered for this post you should have worked within a Child Protection team previously.
