Stock Controller


Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our team at Environmental Products and Services in Newry, Northern Ireland.

As a Stock Controller, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing inventory levels to ensure efficient and accurate stock control processes.

You will play a vital role in maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing stock discrepancies, and supporting the smooth operation of our business at Environmental Products and Services.


Responsibilities:


  • Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels across multiple product lines.
  • Perform regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
  • Identify and investigate any stock discrepancies, taking appropriate actions to rectify errors.
  • Coordinate stock transfers between different locations or departments.
  • Generate accurate stock reports, highlighting trends, stock levels, and potential issues.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Implement and maintain effective stock control procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular stock audits to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Identify slowmoving or obsolete stock items and propose strategies for their clearance.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of stock to minimize damage or loss.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to optimize stock flow and improve operational efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to stock control.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Stock Controller or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of stock control procedures and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with great attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
  • Physical stamina to handle manual tasks and perform stock counts.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends during peak periods.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • A degree or certification in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a fastpaced retail, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to stock handling.

Salary:
£24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
