Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies Joint Forensic Services Department provides a vital supporting role to operational police work which directly impacts on crime reduction and detection.

The role of Photographic Administrator is to provide support within all areas of photographic and imaging, including the photography of fingerprints, the production of identification and warrant cards, preparation of material for court and the processing of digital images, some of which may be distressing in nature.

We are looking for applicants who can offer the following attributes:

It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:

Good literacy and numeracy skills
Previous administrative experience
Attention to detail, in particular in relation to checking documentation and image quality
Demonstrate good communication and relationship skills
Demonstrate good organisational skills with the ability to balance a variety of tasks
Good keyboard skills and competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel
Full driving licence and the ability to travel within the counties of Norfolk and Suffolk

It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:

Experience of working within a forensic environment and using forensic databases
Knowledge of exhibit integrity and continuity procedures

Hours of work are 37 per week Monday to Friday. This post is offered on a permanent basis.

Consideration will be given to whether the post can be delivered on either a part time or job share basis, in line with the organisational requirements of this role.
