JOB - Control Systems Engineer

LOCATION - Bristol

TERM - Permanent

SALARY - £45,000 - £65,000 per annum

My client, a Bristol based engineering company specialising in M&E systems are looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.


The Control Systems Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • A degree level education or alternate qualification equivalent in Electrical or Control systems Engineering (BEng, BSc, HND, NVQ etc).
  • Proficient in PLC programming from scratch.
  • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley, Siemens & TIA Portal PLC softwares.
  • Preferably electrical design experience using AutoCAD/ E-Plan.
  • Strong IT & computing skills.
  • Verbal & communication skills.

The Control Systems Engineer's duties will include:

  • Producing risk assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for projects.
  • Producing & modifying PLC, HMI & SADA softwares.
  • Installation commissioning, fault finding, modification of Control Panels & equipment.
  • Supervising electrical engineers.
  • Project budget & management.
  • Ensuring the safety of site workers.
