We are looking for a caring ,committed reliable person to join our team at Newlands Street Barry

You will be required to provide a comprehensive and efficient reception service to the NewlandsDrug and Alcohol Service. Maintain a high standard of clerical duties and oversee all aspects of the preparation and delivery of the clinic.

Act as a point of contact for enquiries which may arise from staff, patients, relatives and members of the public.

Liaise with all patients and staff, in a professional and positive manner, whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.

To have full responsibility for clinics and oversee all aspects of the preparation and delivery of the clinic

To answer all incoming telephone calls to the team, ensuring calls are correctly transferred to relevant members of staff. Ensure accurate and detailed messages are taken in the absence of staff members.

To be able to communicate effectively with anxious patients and relative's information regarding appointments.


Act as point of contact for patients visiting the Unit (both by telephone and face to face contact) who may present with complex needs; and ensuring that all patients and visitors are treated with dignity and respect.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
