Contract to start on until with a possible extension.


MUST have Education background and is familiar with the statutory process around school absence, Attendance, Exclusions, Court warning.

It would be beneficial if they had experience dealing with the statutory side of the education process.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide effective administration and systems support in the Family Early Help Service.

This will include project support, finance and administrative services within an integrated team, and in the context of Southwark's' Fairer Futures promises in supporting children, young people and Families toensure the delivery of an outstanding Family Early Help Service.


To support the team in carrying out to the highest quality standards in an early intervention and prevention capacity, the relevant statutory duties conducted by the Family Early Help Service and assisting parents, schools and the Local Authority to meet their duties.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES


To provide Family Early Help Teams with administration support, which includes acting as aninterface, at a systems level, with colleagues in the Family Early Help Service, Social Care, CAMHS, Health and other partners.


To provide a high quality customer service, both face to face and via the phone to internal and external colleagues and partner agencies e.g.

Schools, social workers, and parents and carers.


To provide the appropriate administration support to the full range of statutory duties (including exclusions, prosecution and penalty notices) carried out by the Family Early Help Service on behalf of the Client and to ensure that Client policies in respect of safeguarding children and health andsafety are adhered to.


To provide appropriate administration support to the full range of early intervention activities conductedby the service, with a particular emphasis on integrated tools and processes such as Early Help referrals and to undertake all duties within the agreed service timescales.

To maintain accurate records, such as minutes, to agreed service and relevant professional standardsfor a variety of forums (to include word processing, letters, general correspondence, etc.), as well as the maintenance of computerised information data bases for the control and monitoring of child and family cases including compiling reports and statistics as requested


To support the finance process by assisting as required to help process payments and regulate finance requests for the Service.


To support a number of evaluation or feedback activities that relate to the service by coordinating tasks, undertaking data collection and inputting and logging reports e.g.

parenting programmes and evaluations.

To support the promotion of the Family Early Help Service, both internally and in the community, by providing customer information, advice and assisting in any promotional events


To manage the process of archiving and resource management within the team, including arrangements for filing and further development of filing policies / procedure, in all cases meeting both Client and relevant professional standards.


To prepare training materials for the team, including ensuring the availability of appropriate resources and liaising with corporate training services.
