About this Role:


Term Time plus 2 weeks in August

Core Purpose
Administer and co-ordinate student services, including acting as first point of contact for student advice and information.

Provide administrative support to the school by handling a range of administrative processes and tasks as required


Specific tasks

  • Ensure area is welcoming and tidy
  • Deal with telephone calls and other enquires, providing general information, take messages
  • To provide administrative support covering the College Leader's areas of whole Academy responsibility
  • To provide administrative support for the Curriculum Leaders in the college
  • To provide administrative support for the Learning mentor within the college
  • To oversee student records, progress reports, annual reports, individual appointments etc for students within the sixth form college.
  • To maintain student files for students within the college
  • To oversee and monitor the registration process for students within the college including leaves of absence
  • To deal with enquiries relating to pastoral matters within the college
  • To deal administer basic first aid to students
  • To produce merit certificates and letters relating to student achievements for the college
  • To have some strategic responsibilities to be determined.

Generic Responsibilities

  • To support, deputise and cover for other administrative staff throughout the Academy as necessary
  • To answer the telephone when reception is unable to answer incoming calls
  • To undertake any other administrative work as reasonably requested by the Principal
