The DEBEAT study is currently at pilot stage, and will recruit a cohort of 1,500 adolescents in their final year of school, starting September 2023.

The adolescents will be followed up the following year to study changes in their diet and related health behaviours.

The study collects detailed data on changing social environments, home, institutional and neighbourhood food environments and time/financial pressures as young people transition from school-level education to higher/further education or employment.

You will work closely with the project lead, Dr Eleanor Winpenny, leading analysis, publication and presentation of findings, and con-tributing to ongoing data collection.

In addition, there will be the opportunity to develop research ideas and analyses in other national and international longitudinal cohorts.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
