Graduate Teaching Assistant

Newcastle

Salary:
£75-£84 per day

Immediate Start _

An excellent secondary school with a fantastic
SEN department in Newcastle is looking to appoint a creative and friendly teaching assistant to join their dynamic and forward thinking team.

You will be working within a team of other graduates who are assigned to year groups and support pupils with additional needs in class.

This is a great place to work with amazing benefits and you will quickly become part of the team.

The main duties will include:

Supporting the pupils in their education through the national curriculum and individualised learning plans
Managing behaviour
Working with the class teacher/SEND leader to implement interventions
Supporting and delivering creative and innovative lessons
Using formative and summative assessment
Working 1:1 and with small groups
Promoting independence with life skills
Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care
Be available for work Monday to Friday
Be a recent graduate
Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with ourselves)
A fully checkable work history
In addition to that, we are currently offering £100 for the successful referral of either Teachers or Teaching Assistants._
