Lambeth Council's Welfare Rights Service for vulnerable residents Every Pound Counts are recruiting a full-time Benefit Supervisor.


The supervisor role involves managing benefit advisers, triaging referrals and providing support on complex cases, for example those involving cases there are capacity or safeguarding issues.

This role requires a thorough knowledge of security legislation and understanding of the impacts of with welfare reforms, experience of supervising staff and requires excellent organisational and communication skills.

You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience of providing benefit advice and experience of working collaboratively with health and social care services.

You will be committed to delivering quality advice services and have experience of auditing casework and helping to put processes in place for an effective running high-quality specialist benefit advice service.

The role is focused on customer service and requires you to be working collaboratively with stakeholders who support vulnerable residents.


The service provides in depth specialist case work support with vulnerable residents being offered appointments, at the service base, home visits and via outreach.

The service supports vulnerable residents who have serious long term health conditions.


The role offers the opportunity for a combination of home and office-based working in the Councils Civic Centre in Brixton.
