Description

About The Role:

We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Diagnostic World Ultrasound team, in Kent, on a permanent contract, working across different clinic locations.

Working in community-based GP surgeries and health centres, you will be providing the best patient care, assisting our Sonographers as they carry out Ultrasound scanning procedures.

A driving license and access to a car is essential for this role, as you will transport the portable ultrasound equipment. So, you will be able to claim mileage, covered by Diagnostic World.

As our Healthcare Assistant, you will be required to be available Monday-Sunday, working 5 days out of 7.

You need to be willing to travel to Sheerness, Chatham, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks and Maidstone; working hours are typically 08:15 to 17:30.

What you will do:

  • Welcome patients in a professional, courteous manner, coordinating their arrival through to departure
  • Escort patients to and from the clinical area as required, explaining the procedure in full and ensuring any questions or concerns are managed professionally
  • Assess and monitor the patient's condition after procedure, ensuring that any changes are reported to the relevant staff immediately
  • Ensure high levels of cleanliness are always maintained
  • Maintain an inventory of clinical disposables and replenish as required in conjunction with Clinic Manager

About you:

  • Excellent patient care and communication skills
  • Friendly, outgoing professional personality
  • A passion for delivering the highest level of customer service
  • A good understanding of health and safety and infection control
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a multi skilled team
  • Strong administration and IT skills

Experience of working in a similar healthcare role is advantageous for this role, but the passion to learn and work in a busy healthcare, patient focused environment is just as important.

What's in it for you:

  • Company Pension Scheme
  • 20 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, increasing on an annual basis
  • Employee Assistance Programme (for health, wellbeing and financial assistance)

About Us:
