An exciting opportunity has arisen within the DHCW Information Services Directorate to join the Community Information Services Team as a Principal Specialist.

The team is responsible for developing National Community Information and Reporting requirements across Health and Social Care services in Wales.

The services in scope are Social Care, Allied Health Professionals, Community Nursing, Children's Services and Mental Health Practitioners.

This post is part of a multi-disciplinary team for Community based Information services, working closely with Clinical Informatics and Community Information Leads.

This post requires advanced analytic and judgement skills to evaluate and present business processes from across Wales, to engage with stakeholders and influence decision making for the benefit across services for clinicians and citizens alike.

Excellent planning skills are essential for this role to manage individual and team deliverables in relation to the National Community Information and Reporting requirements.

Working across Community Information, Clinical informatics and WCCIS you will have the opportunity to work closely with local organisations across Wales to deliver significant change in how users work and ultimately provide a better service to citizens.

The post holder will be primarily responsible to clearly elicit, define and document stakeholder requirements.

However, this is a 'full-lifecycle' role with possible involvement from business case development to operational review, via requirements, design, development, test and implementation.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are required for this role and there is a requirement to actively participate in a variety of different stakeholder meetings across the Health & Care setting.

This post is a fixed term post/secondment until March 2025 to meet the needs of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
