Churchill College's Development office is looking for a dynamic, motivated and ambitious individual to join its successful and innovative Development team as a Principal Gifts Officer in a permanent role.

The College recently launched its Think Forward campaign (Think Forward - Churchill College )to raise £30 million for its endowment, focusing on student support and unrestricted funding.


The Principal Gifts Officer will be responsible for raising mid-range gifts and stewarding and maintaining important relationships at the £10,000- £200,000 range.

We are looking for someone with a good track record of raising funds either on the phone or face to face.

The post-holder will be expected to meet a target of raising at least £400,000 per year from this group of donors.

They will be required to secure leadership gifts as part of initiatives such as year group fundraising, for example for matching gifts.

They will also follow up with leadership annual fund prospects from the telethon to convert into mid-range donors and move up the giving ladder.

This role would suit someone who is passionate about building good relationships to make a difference in Higher Education. It requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, organisational skills, collaboration and relationship building. They will be part of a dynamic and friendly team of seven, within one of Cambridge's leading progressive Colleges.

This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week.
