We are seeking to appoint an Administrative Assistant to join the Academic Quality, Standards and Conduct (AQSC) team within Student and Education Services.

The AQSC team work in partnership with academic and professional service colleagues to ensure the University can confidently demonstrate and continuously enhance the quality and standards of its teaching and learning activities, wherever they take place


We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated person to work as part of a small team who are responsible for the administrative processes relating to (but not limited to) Student Appeals and Academic Conduct.

This is a primarily campus based role and full training will be provided.


This is a key role and gives you the opportunity to gain valuable experience of working in an area that is varied, challenging and offers wide scope for personal and professional development.

This role would be ideal for anyone who wishes to work in a fast moving environment as part of a highly successful team.

You will work closely with the Academic Conduct and Appeals Officer in supporting our processes.


About you

  • Effective numeracy, literacy skills.
  • Microsoft Office & Excel experience.
  • Experience of working accurately and with a keen eye for detail when working to deadlines.
  • Experience of precisely inputting information and maintaining records
  • Ability to build relationships with people/customers.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team and have a flexible approach to work and colleagues.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and use own initiative to solve problems.

Preferred start date:
January Fixed term for 7 months


Location:
On campus initially with some scope for remote working thereafter.


Hours per week:36.5
