Description

The role of Business Manager is to provide management of Business Services to delivery teams or equivalent, including Operating Centres, Domains & Corporate Head Quarters.

Provide advice and effective business management services consistently to multiple stakeholders, whilst managing a team of direct reports.


As Business Manager in Barrow, you will be responsible for autonomously managing a team of 2 people who in turn provide support for roughly 120 members of staff.

You will oversee processes, whilst managing business support, access requirements, safety and compliance.


About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Effective Business Management Services on a day-to-day basis to multiple stakeholders.
  • Managing a team of direct reports.
  • Drafting & maintaining Business continuity Plans Acting as team lead for accommodation issues, including Smart Working.
  • Act as a focal point for internal communications and secretariat business.
  • Coordinate and support implementation of continuous improvement across delivery team or equivalent.
  • Stakeholder management and coordination of VIP visits.

Person specification

  • Experience in the leadership of colleagues
  • Experience in high level stakeholder managerment and relationship building
  • Experience of working in professional/technical roles
  • Membership of a professional body
