Kingston upon Thames - Hybrid£20 Per Hour
I am recruiting for a local authority who is looking for someone to provide high level executive support to the Council's Senior Leadership Team (SLT), which includes the CEO and three Executive Directors.
You will take responsibility and ownership of office organisation, correspondence, deadline compliance, scheduling of meetings and play a support role in areas such as project management, human resources and finance and ICT to ensure the day to day needs of the SLT are met.
You will have well developed business support and organisational skills, be confident, highly perceptive, discreet and focused on the future of both the organisation and Borough.
Key activities:
Work as part of a close knit team who provide "right hand" support for the Director's within the SLT.
Take the lead for activities as necessary to support the Director's delivering their key priorities; these could vary from the planning of
development days and staff engagement events to arranging external communications.
Acts as the first point of contact for the SLT management team, responding and working internally with Members, senior officers and
staff and externally with Members of Parliament, local authorities and other public, private, voluntary and independent agencies and
representative organisations both locally and nationally in line with SLT involvement and representation.
Organise and schedule meetings
Inbox management
Prepare meeting agendas
Perform research for meetings
Book business travel arrangements
Process office correspondence;
First point of contact - answering phones/meet and greet visitors where necessary;
Manage the diaries and schedules of senior management
Liaise with other staff members on behalf of senior management
Handle basic HR and recruitment duties on behalf of SLT, including on-boarding new staff members
