Description
BlairWest is working with Opencast, an ambitious, successful, growing Tech Consultancy. Opencast pride themselves in the qualities of their people. They're inclusive, creative, and collaborative. This is a Systems Accountant role reporting into the FinancialController. You'll own the continuous programme of system and process improvements as they implement a new ERP system.

This role can be worked remotely, with a visit to their Head Office in Newcastle upon Tyne once every fortnight.


The Opportunity:


  • Act as a super user of Workday
  • Champion and promote Workday across the business
  • Work with users to help them understand how to use the system correctly, and help them meet their business needs
  • Run a continuous improvement programme to identify and implement effective and efficient finance processes within Workday across the business
  • Ensure financial processes are robust and meet with regulatory responsibilities and mitigate the risk of reporting error
  • Document and maintain existing and new processes and workflows
  • Workday implementation experience in a commercial finance department
  • Qualified or Almost Qualified Accountant (ACMA, ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
  • Knowledge and experience of integrating Workday with other systems
  • Project management skills
  • Experience of prioritising your workload with limited supervision
  • Experience effectively communicating project deliverables and required timelines
