The company handles copyright and royalty administration for a large client base consisting of songwriters, record labels and music catalogue owners.

The Activity Tracking Copyright Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Activity Tracking Team who are focussed on maximising potential revenue of clients catalogues through identifying missing royalties and asserting our right to collect at collection societies around the world.

Job Description:

Copyright Tracking

  • Maintaining and updating list of highperforming works.
  • Liaising with the copyright teams to ensure PRO databases reflect full copyright claims.
  • Research works at key societies.
  • Submitting copyright queries and requesting backclaims and adjustments
Digital Activity Tracking

  • Match recording information against Sentric copyrights.
  • Assist with quarterly digital usage submissions.
  • Provide assistance in processing claims for any unidentified or unclaimed digital music.
  • Answer digital income queries.
Broadcast Tracking

  • Assist with researching and submitting broadcast claims (promo's, commercials)
  • Uploading audio and work information for tracking.
  • Working with the rest of the Activity Tracking team to research and process cue sheets.
  • Research unclaimed works databases, making claims where necessary both internationally and domestically.
Other Tasks

  • Assisting with new client tracking checks
  • Helping to answer internal and external activity tracking queries
  • Analysis of mechanical usage reports, making any necessary claims resulting from this.
  • Assisting with any unlicensed mechanical claims.

Qualifications:


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail, accuracy and detaildriven
  • Demonstrable, prioritisation, organisation and deadline management skills required
  • High level of numeracy
  • Basic excel skills are preferred
  • Basic understanding of the music publishing industry is preferable
  • Positive approach to problem solving
  • Enthusiasm for working with artists and business partners at all levels
  • Collaborative approach to outcomes
  • Ability to maintain a professional manner when handling song disputes and duplicate claims
  • Persistent drive to complete tasks in accurate and timely manner.
  • Previous admin experience is advantageous
  • Knowledge of music publishing industry either through education or previous work experience is preferable
