An exciting digital platform is looking for a motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join their dynamic Finance team and support the Finance Director.

This is an excellent opportunity to get exposure to all accounting functions within the business.

You will be required to understand all aspects of management reporting and take responsibility for part of the revenue recognition for the Company.

You will beexpected to develop an understanding of accounting processes, double entry and contribute towards the production of the monthly management accounts packs whilst also assisting where needed in the day-to-day operations of the finance function.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management account packs.
  • Work with the financial reporting team to provide robust weekly cash reports.
  • Be involved in monthly Balance sheets and P&L's reviews for respective business areas.
  • Assist the management accounts function in the development improvement of current processes/ functionality.
  • Provide monthly flash P&L reports highlighting variances against budget and explain how these occurred versus plan.


  • Credit control

  • Produce weekly credit control reports provide updates on receipts and layout potential actions to collect debt with the support of the sales team.
  • Work towards fully understanding both the accounts payable and receivables process. Be able to fully run and provide cover to the team when needed in these functions.
  • Understanding how AP/ AR modules fit into the reporting function of the team.
  • Support the day to day running of the finance function. This can sometimes mean having to roll your sleeves up and provide cover in areas when colleagues are on leave etc.
  • Ad Hoc projects/ requests/ queries coming from the business teams.
About you

  • ACC OR CIMA Entry level Accountant keen to pursue study.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel or other planning and reporting tools
  • MUST have 6 months experience working in a finance role
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong team player
  • Be a selfstarter and take ownership and responsibility for business area
  • Good attention to detail, logical and organised.
