2020 Recruitment are working alongside one of our engineering partners who are looking for a Workshop Labourer to join their Montrose based team.
This is an opportunity for someone with engineering or production experience to join a fantastic company and develop their career.
Initially this is a contract position for 6 months but a permanent role is available at the end of the probationary period.
About the Role
As the Workshop Labourer, your duties will be varied and will include activities such as power washing, moving components around the workshop workflow areas, lifting and handling, general cleaning and housekeeping.
Duties
As the Workshop Labourer your duties will include.
- Maintain housekeeping to high standard in manufacturing workshops and outside storage areas
- Operate overhead gantry cranes
- Power wash equipment
- Assist painter / blaster as required
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and order within facility and within a safe state at all times
- Work collaboratively with and assist all departments as and when required, including machine operators and management
- Make sure workflow is maximised by moving components to the correct stations
- Demonstrate awareness of company objectives, policies and procedures
- Identify and communicate health and safety risks making recommendations to Supervisor to improve workshop operations
- Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager
Requirements:
To be considered for the Workshop Labourer role you must have the following:
- Working knowledge of similar manufacturing environment
- Hardworking and reliable
- Local to Montrose
- Forklift experience would be advantageous
- Driving Licence would be advantageous
- Health & Safety awareness
Package
As the Workshop Labourer you will be offered the following:
- £10.80ph
- £11.50ph depending on experience and qualifications
- Minimum 6month contract
- Career development opportunities
- Overtime when required
