Procurement and Contracts Specialist


Location:
High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire


Salary:
£45,000 - £48,000 DOE


Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you will be expected to manage our submissions for national and large regional purchase frameworks, contracts, and tenders for our clients and the sister company's.

You will also be expectedto optimise commercial use of new and established contracts and frameworks.


Duties:


  • Develop relationships between the company and our key external contracts customers
  • Plan for framework review timings, ensure tenders are completed for England, Scotland and Wales and support tenders for Ireland where required in conjunction with our distribution partner
  • Be involved in mini competitions, reverse auctions and other procurement approaches
  • Develop the use of contract and frameworks trade routes to provide optimum commercial outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with key internal stakeholders including sales and marketing, supply chain administration team, quality and regulatory affairs, accounts, and senior management
  • Oversee procurement activities for our client and the sister company's advising, internal stakeholders concerning best practice procedures and requirements for the effective procurement of goods and services
  • Work with stakeholders on a variety of procurement projects such as Facilities, IT and infrastructure obtaining optimum solutions for the business at the best cost whilst ensuring superior service levels are delivered by the supplier

Specification:


  • Experience in a similar Procurement and Contracts role buyer side and supplier side
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Strong writing/tender text authoring skills
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office including spreadsheets and databases)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Flexibility and able to keep calm under pressure
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
