The BOA Group is a distinctive Multi-Academy Trust and operates a trading subsidiary theatre company.

The Trust has grown out of the success of our first academy, BOA Creative, Design and Performing Arts (BOA CDPA) and has 2 further academies now part of the Trust; BOA Stage and Screen Production and BOA Digital Technologies.


BOA Group is seeking to appoint a finance assistant to work under the direction and guidance of senior staff to provide general clerical, administrative and financial support across all three academies and subsidiary company.

The role will be primarily based at BOA Digital Technologies in Birmingham working with the Group Management Accountant and the Finance Officer to administer the finances of both the Academy Trust and the Old Rep Theatre.

Effective communication skills are required together with the ability to work well under pressure.


We are keen to attract proactive individuals with good IT skills who can meet deadlines and complete tasks to the highest standards.

You will have strong organisational skills, experience of dealing with young people and have attention to detail. Financial experience is desired by not essential.

JOB PURPOSE
To be responsible for providing accurate data and data analysis to our Academies. Produce reports and handle statutory returns in conjunction with Principal. Work closely with Principal's to build new timetables for next academic year.

Lead the successful migration from our current Management Information System to a new cloud-based MIS that is currently being procured.

Liaise with the providing company around key milestone dates and complete data checking exercises to ensure the smooth transition ahead of the new Academic year.


Principal Responsibilities

Work alongside CEO, Principals, Vice Principals and Head of IT to:

  • Make data and analysis of data available to relevant stakeholders at the appropriate time, e.g. parents, students, teachers, LEA, DCSF and other external agencies.
  • Produce reports to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner to meet internal and externally set deadlines, e.g. student reports, whole school or departmental assessment data.
  • Produce regular reports to meet statutory requirements and deadlines.
  • Ensure the integrity of all data held in the school.
  • Maintain accurate academic student information.
  • Complete data protocols and processes including yearend procedures within Sims.
  • Lead on the transfer of data from SIMS to new MIS, checking for accuracy
  • Lead on the set up of the new MIS for the start of the academic year
  • Analyse data for presentation to the Senior Leadership Team, Governors and other stakeholders as required.
  • Contribute to the construction and maintenance of the Timetable in liaison with Senior Leaders:
  • Build timetable blocks
  • Resource classes with teachers and rooms
  • Schedule lessons
  • Update staffing and room changes
  • Ensure timely submission of the following requirements by the LA and DfE:
  • Census
  • Examination results

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months


Salary:
£24,702.00-£26,873.00 per year

  • No weekends
