We are looking for a
Java Developer who, as well as having demonstrable commercial experience, has knowledge and some experience of engineering automation practices, with a thirst to learn about the DevOps practices of continuous integrationand continuous deployment.


You will also be comfortable working as part of a team as well as having the autonomy for completing your own work.


Day to day you'll be...
You'll be working in squads supporting and delivering change to our banking apps. You will contribute to standard Agile planning ceremonies (sprint planning, sprint retrospective) as well as Daily Stand Ups.

You will support the Scrum Master and ProductOwner in managing the Product Backlog and ensuring that key metrics such as time remaining and velocity are understood and followed by the team.

Alongside your team you will develop and test software for our key digital channels.


To be successful you'll need to bring...

  • Java
  • Front end technologies including REACT and
  • Tooling including Maven, Gradle, Jenkins
  • Spring Framework and test tools such as Junit, Soap UI and Postman.

The following would be not essential.


Experience of engineering at scale would be advantageous and any exposure to the full test lifecycle up to and including non-functional (penetration and performance) testing.


If you are like us you are probably a multi technologist so if you can bring any experience of containerisation technologies (Docker / Kubernetes) and / or Cloud Technologies that would be great.
