Description

A great opportunity has risen for a Patient insights + Involvement Manager to support our ambitious five-year strategy where we seek to accelerate progress in respiratory research and innovation by tripling public funding for respiratory research to £150 million each year and increase our own investment in pioneering research and innovation.

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs.

We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime.

We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.

You will lead the generation, analysis and reporting of representative and in-depth patient insights to the respiratory research and innovation community to ensure that they focus on addressing the highest priority patient unmet needs and that solutions created are acceptable, usable and desirable to people with lung conditions, thereby maximising the impact of their contribution.

You will be an excellent communicator with experience of working directly with patients and the public, healthcare professionals and researchers.

You will have a strong background in social research methods, ideally within a health or medical context and be an organised, adaptable team player.

This is an exciting time to join the team as we embark on delivering the James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership (JLA PSP) in Breathlessness project and building a bronchiectasis patient community to work with and support UK bronchiectasis researchers to better understand patient unmet needs.

As well as a competitive salary, you'll enjoy a range of benefits including 30 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), membership of a health cash plan, employee assistance programme, cycle-to-work scheme, interest-free annual season Travelcard loan and pension scheme.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation committed to being the driving force behind the transformation of lung health.
