Software Assurance Consultant

Hybrid -Boscombe Down (On site might be required, depending on the project)


Salary -up to £70k + great benefits & career progression

The Role


In this diverse and technical challenging role you will join a dedicated team supports Software Delivery across multiple projects and provides Independent Technical Assessment on related aircraft systems, ensuring safety and airworthiness of the software.


Your day-to-day activities will also include assessing third party software ensuring safety and conformance to security standards, military or civil (including Def Stan 00-56, Def Stan 00-55, DO-178x).


Other duties will include:

  • Populating an argument for software safety.
  • Establishing that a baseline exists for the software under review.
  • Establish that the SW is targeted to be developed to a known software standard.
  • Establish that the SW development and verification process is established and meets standard.

What we're looking for:


  • You are an experienced technical assessor or have software engineering/aviation background.
  • Understanding of software assurance
  • Experience working against a safety standard (including Def Stan 0056, Def Stan 0055, DO178x).
