An opportunity has arisen to join the Medicine division at Colchester hospital as an Operational Co-ordinator, responsible for the co-ordination of our rotas.


This is a rewarding role; ensuring that our services are safely covered over a 24/7 period; working closely with specialities and members of the clinical teams.


This opportunity will allow you to play a major role in the continuing development of service delivery for the benefit of our patients where care and compassion are central to everything we do.


You will have the opportunity to further develop your operational and management skills in a supportive and innovative atmosphere, including bed management and supporting with the flow of our patients through Colchester Hospital.

Please note this is a part time position for 32 hours.


As an Operational Coordinator; you will be responsible for the day to day management of a number of key operational aspects including primarily the co-ordination of the Divisional rotas and medical resource.

You will have line management responsibilities for our administrative colleagues; highlighting any issues to the Service Manager.


You will be responsible for ensuring that day to day activity runs smoothly, liaising with multiple stakeholders both within and externally to the Trust.

Whilst we are ideally looking for someone with relevant experience an individual with demonstrable transferable skills would be considered.
