We are currently looking for a talented Design Assistant to join our Kidswear Team on a 6 months fixed term contract.

Ideally you will have already gained some industry experience and have an understanding of the importance of developing product that's relevant to our customer.

You will be part of a function that is responsible for delivering outstanding garment design across the Kidswear department.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about design and willing to push the handwriting to the next level.


You will work as part of an enthusiastic and fast paced team; delivering versatile, modern pieces in the perfect fit & fabric, which have been thoughtfully designed for everyday wear, comfort and effortless dressing.

Key Accountabilities and Measures

  • Creates clear and detailed CAD work supporting Tech pack creation
  • Creates colourways of CADs
  • Creates stylish design boards under guidance to deliver strong and clear design messages
  • Methodical and detailed approach to logging bought and original samples for the department
  • Shopping for samples and research material under guidance and direction from design team
  • Sets up and preps rooms for design presentations and meetings e.g. seasonal design briefs
  • Flexes time and priorities across the team according to workload to ensure critical path deadlines are met
  • Researches and sources images under direction
  • Supports the Design team through delegated tasks covering trim development, PLM support, CAD support and general research for Designers

Key Skills

  • Design Degree or equivalent
  • Strong design and CAD skills with an eye for detail
  • High level of proficiency in Design related CAD software to include Illustrator, Photoshop and In Design
  • Multi task orientated with the ability to work to tight deadlines to the critical path
  • Ability to create trend boards under direction and set up products for seasonal design briefs and presentations
