The Atkins Interior Design Team are expanding, and we have an exciting new opportunity available for a Junior to Mid Weight Interior designer position within our Glasgow Studio.

This would be on a permanent basis to assist with an increasing project load.

We would like to bring on board someone with an understanding or enthusiasm for design aesthetics and an Interest in current design trends and philosophies from workplace environments.

The design team work collaboratively across various sectors of design, providing problem solving, attention to detail and a motivation to learn.

Time management skills are essential.

Keeping organised you will be responsible for assisting the Team on all aspects of the design process, from concept presentations, visualisations, mood boards, technical drawings, and detailed tender packages.


About You:


You should understand the RIBA plan of work stages. Knowledge of the following packages would be highly advantageous however training can be provided if necessary.

  • Sketch up and AutoCAD is required Revit would be advantageous.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • 3D Rendering skills Enscape (and or other modelling software).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Hand sketching skills.
  • Strength in conceptual and creative thinking.
  • Confident to research and source innovative and appropriate hard surface finishes and materials with a good knowledge of Furniture and lighting brands and suppliers.
  • The ability to assist your team with space planning, test fitting and schematic design schemes for Interior design projects.
  • Knowledge of specializing in Interior graphics & branding with every project having its own unique look and feel.

Your qualifications:

Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related degree,


Salary will be based on level of experience.
This is a permanent position with a three-month probationary period.
