XPS Investments is experiencing high growth and we are now looking to hire an Assistant Investment Consultant to join our vibrant Birmingham office with hybrid working.


XPS is an award-winning Pensions Consultancy with over 1600 staff in locations across the UK and our Investment business continues to experience rapid growth.

We are ambitious and value our people as they provide the key to our success. We provide independent investment advice to defined benefit and defined contribution institutional pension schemes. We do not offer fiduciary management and are not tied to any platforms or fund managers. Our independence is critical to being able to provide the best investment advice to our clients.


The role:

As a senior Investment Consultant with XPS you will be client facing and

  • Build new relationships and develop long term partnerships (for example with independent trustees)
  • Provide advice to support clients and solve problems
  • Manage existing relationships
  • Act as a key member of the team and lead others by example
  • Lead client relationships
  • Develop innovative solutions

Your profile:


We are looking for an experienced Senior Investment Manager with significant experience in a similar role who is looking for a new challenge and who wants to be part of this exciting period of growth.

This role requires

  • Excellent communication skills, passion about investments with real drive and enthusiasm
  • You will be unafraid to express your views and share them clearly, thereby contributing to the investment ideas we rely on to achieve our aims
  • Contribute to our ongoing debates and thereby help influence our future direction.
  • Be passionate about developing the team to be the best they can be, unlocking the potential of others
  • Experience of DC, ESG and FM oversight would be beneficial
  • You will most likely be moving towards CFA or FIA
