Patient Pathway Coordinator - Thoracic Surgery

Band - Full Time 37.5hrs PW

Surgical Specialties Division


We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Pathway Coordinator who is seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge within our Thoracic Surgery Department.


A keen team player, you will be a key part of a small secretarial and administrative team within the Division.

Working closely with and providing a high quality service to your Consultants and their clinical teams.

You will be responsible for managing bookings and admissions for your specified areas and ensuring that key operational standards are met (access/waiting times, activity and theatre utilisation targets etc).


This post involves working closely with patients and staff in various departments and you will act as a point of contact for colleagues, patients, relatives and other organisations.

You will need a flexible professional approach, excellent organisational and time management skills together with an excellent standard of verbal and written communication.


In addition, you will deal with enquiries both over the phone and in person, with incoming and outgoing post on a daily basis, along with assisting and supporting other members of the team to ensure the smooth running of our service.

The Surgical Specialties Division is located UCLH at Westmoreland Street Hospital (formerly The Heart Hospital) in Marylebone and this post is based on site.
