This job will start as a temp role and be confirmed permanent for the right person._
Permanent salary £24 - £30k
Hours:
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm including a one-hour unpaid lunch break
Duties:
To liaise with families, staff and external agencies
- To monitor whole school and targeted attendance
- To coordinate with external agencies such as CAHMS, GPs and representatives from local authorities
- To liaise with school staff, including the Designated Senior Lead, and other professionals as appropriate to ensure the effective operation of the service
- To support parents' information evenings and family updates around attendance and wellbeing
- To attend pastoral briefings as requirement
- To maintain robust data tracking systems, making use of Arbor/Microsoft as appropriate
- To promote a caring and supportive environment with pupils, families and staff
- To liaise with relevant staff within the School making them aware of problems experienced by students and collaborate over interventions as appropriate
- To liaise with other professionals, including attending meetings within the School and with outside agencies
- To meet with pupils to promote god attendance
- To be available to meet with families offsite as required
- To be alert to trends and patterns of problems and be willing to identify causes and recommend corrective action
- To play an active role in safeguarding children and adhere to the School and Trust's policies
Your experience:
- a record of effective tracking of and responding to data and strong school admin skills
- ability to maintain confidentiality within the School's safeguarding procedures
- ability to work effectively with a range of colleagues both within the School and from external agencies
- excellent interpersonal skills, including when working with young people
- to demonstrate the key personal qualities of empathy, congruence, positive regard and respect
- an ability to question, reflect, challenge attitudes and beliefs
- the ability to motivate others, problem solve and be organised
- a desire to make a difference to the lives of young people
- an understanding of the ethos of the West London Free School
- high expectations of pupil conduct and behaviour
- excellent communication skills with both pupils, families and staff
