Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Operative to join our Living Places business unit to work in Hereford.
Role Purpose A Member of the Hereford Design and Build Construction Team, delivering Capital Highways Maintenance and New Build Schemes.
What you'll be doing
The position will involve:
- The undertaking of Civils Works associated with Highway Capital Maintenance, including Bridge Minor Maintenance Activities
- Supporting the teams on a day to day with delivery of capital works programme in all weathers
- Supporting Teams on a reactive basis to emergencies should it be needed
- Management of basic onsite risk assessments
- Responsible for company equipment and vehicles
The individual:
- Must be comfortable working within a team as well as working alone and to tight deadlines
- You will have the ability to read maps and must have a good level of written and numerical skills.
- A demonstrable ability to learn new processes quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail & selfmotivated.
- Able to demonstrate technical knowledge and analytical skills.

- Essential:
- Full clean UK Driving Licence
- Good communication skills
- IT skills
- Excel, Word etc.
- Stonemasonry Skills,
- CSCS
- Desirable But Full training would be provided:
- Brickwork Skills
- First Aid Training
- Manual Handling Training
- G39 Training.
- EUSR1&2 Trained
- TM LANTRA Trained M1 and M
- Power Tools (Chainsaw and Strimmers
