The University of Hull (UoH) has been shaping the future since 1927.

With a vision that emphasises the pursuit of excellence to achieve a fairer, brighter and carbon neutral future, the Institution's plans, as set out in our University Strategic Plan 2030, are bold and ambitious.

Motivated by societal challenges and inspired by the power of our global community, the next few years represent a significant opportunity for the University to further define and enhance its position within the UK Higher Education Sector.

The University has a long-established reputation as a research-led institution, which is internationally recognised for the quality of research and impact in areas such as sustainability, social justice, and health and wellbeing.

Encompassing KE operations, student entrepreneurship, commercialisation and research impact, the Knowledge Exchange directorate delivers the University's KE Strategy. At the University of Hull, we know that high-quality knowledge exchange delivers mutual benefit, learning and satisfaction. It informs, and is informed by, our teaching and research - a symbiotic trinity of activity. It fosters opportunities for multi-faceted relationships and interactions.

It contributes to our financial sustainability, either through income generation or through improving the data returns which drive our knowledge exchange funding.

It enriches the experience, skillsets and employability of our students and staff. It extends and enhances our stature and reputation.

Cultivation and growth of our knowledge exchange activities is therefore critically important in our endeavours to build a better world and shape a fairer, brighter, and carbon neutral future for us all.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, creative and commercially savvy individual to join the University to help us deliver our ambitions and transform our Knowledge Exchange and research commercialisation activities.

Seen as an important appointment, we are seeking to recruit a Head of Research Commercialisation and Impact Acceleration to drive forward our programme of identifying, developing and enabling opportunities to accelerate the translation and impact of our research as well as market and investment potential of the University's growing intellectual property portfolio.
