Are you an outstanding course manager with experience of delivering distance learning? Do you have a background in teaching and training, or experience of working in any area of the law? Are you an exceptional manager of people?


CILEX Law School is offering this exciting opportunity to join the academic team managing the delivery of their teaching programmes.

The successful applicant will ensure all aspects of the Law School courses run smoothly, with a particular focus on distancelearning, calendar live events, student communications, stakeholder feedback, and policies and handbooks.


The role

  • To plan and manage the release of CILEX Law School distance learning courses, the annual calendar of live teaching events, and the annual student communications calendar
  • Recruit and monitor the performance of CILEX Law School contract tutors; train staff and contractors, and line manage designated staff
  • Ensure course policies and handbooks are up to date and compliant
  • Act as the first point of contact for partnership programmes
  • Contribute to the annual teaching programme for professional skills or designated area of legal practice

What we're looking for

  • Experience of teaching and/or training with a recognised professional teaching or coaching qualification
  • Experience of course management, ideally with a professional understanding distance learning delivery
  • Experience of line management


While a legal specialism is not essential for this role, a CILEX qualification, law degree or equivalent along with experience of working in any area of law would be desirable.

Proven experience in the practical management aspects of the role are essential.

Location:
Remote working (with in-person attendance approx times per year)

Salary:
£38,000 - £43,000 per annum (plus benefits)


Hours: 35 hours per week
