Description

To support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the service, across all sectors of care; providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions of a routine nature such as psycho-educational programmes, under the direct supervision of a qualified professional psychologist drawing on their supervisor's expertise and intervention as and when advised and directed.

To work with the clinical lead to analyse and coordinate clinical data and produce reports as appropriate.

To work according to a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist and within the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.

To assist in the overall clinical service administration along with the CWNL Hillingdon CAMHS admin team, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, training &teaching and project work.

The postholder will be required to support and enhance the psychological care of service users of the CNWL Hillingdon CAMHS Service and carry out duties under supervision such as conducting brief telephone assessments and supporting service users on the waiting list using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) packages and other guided self help.

There will also be a requirement to offer brief treatments face to face and via the telephone.

The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users.

The catchment area of the post is the borough of Hillingdon. The main hub for the service is Minet Clinic, Avondale Drive, Hayes, UB3 3NR.

To assist in administration tasks, clinical data entry such as booking in referrals, in particular the collating and analysis of service data and management of waiting lists and any other duties as delegated by the Team Manager, Clinical Lead or Senior Administrator.


This will include the following:
To assist in the conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit projects, teaching and project work.

To work within the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures, working with a team of clinical and counselling psychologists, and psychological wellbeing practitioners.

Wider involvement in routine clinical and administrative tasks of the service as required which includes telephone and reception cover for both service hubs.

To assist patients to engage with the service by participating in running group workshops for patients and carers.
