The Best Connection (Newcastle) are looking to recruit a number of
Drivers Mates to assist Drivers with deliveries throughout the North East.

Our client is a global leader in the logistics industry and are working in partnership with a national brand.

From their distribution depot in Hebburn you will:

Complete deliveries of items to customers homes
can be heavy items of furniture.
Work as part of a team with your designated Driver
Complete delivery paperwork (as and when required)
Provide excellent customer service to the end client
Remove any unwanted packaging, cardboard etc (where necessary)
Excellent customer service skills are essential as you will be dealing directly with the customer
Be physically fit as heavy lifting is involved in this role
Have good communication skills
Be flexible to work weekends when required

Hours of work:

The business operates 7 days per week, so shifts could include weekends as well as weekdays
Shift start times vary between 05:00am and 07:00am
Average shift length is 8 12 hours per day (depending of driving conditions)
This role is to provide sickness, holiday and absence cover so shift amount per week can vary depending on the needs of the business

Rate of pay:

- £10.50 per hour basic pay Monday to Friday
- £11.50 per hour any hours worked Saturday & Sunday
