We are a 25 bedded neurorehabilitation ward. We pride ourselves on our high standards of patient care and team work.
A good standard of education and experience of Microsoft Office packages including a good knowledge of Word and Excel is essential.
You will need to provide comprehensive administrative services to the ward staff and assist in the day-to-day administration management of the workforce.
Main duties of the jobWe are looking to employ a motivated and conscientious Ward Administrator to join our team. This is a part time post of 18.45hrs per week.
The main duty of the post will be to efficiently and effectively manage the administrative support to the Ward Sister to ensure the smooth running of the ward.
Previous experience of working in administration is essential.You will have the ability to prioritise and respond to planned and unplanned situations and assist in the smooth and efficient running of the ward, often dealing with various internal and external staffing teams and department along with sometimes working with outside agencies or companies.

Desirable but not essential, that you are educated to NVQ level 3 in administration or equivalent qualification or experience and have comprehensive administrative/data management experience (preferably in an NHS setting or a busy office environment).

The post holder will provide a comprehensive and administrative service to senior members of Ward Management team.
Assist senior members of the team with implementing, maintain and sustaining lean thinking methodology to improve productivity
- Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to the clinical staff within the ward area, to include monitoring quality and audit activity and the production a range of documents relating to staffing.
The post holder will support the day-to-day administration management of the workforce and education activities, data entry and producing training reports.
To provide administrative support and timely workforce and education information related to the ward as required by Ward Manger, Deputy Mangers, and Nurse in Charge.
