Description
I am recruiting for a Regulatory Advisor with a utilities company in the home counties (hybrid working). This is an exciting role with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance.

You will provide expert support and oversight to relevant business functionsin the production and provision of both regular and ad hoc reports to external regulators.


The specific accountabilities and responsibilities for the roles will inevitably change over time as our regulatory compliance risk landscape changes.


  • Selfeducating to become regulatory experts in the areas assigned to them.
  • Acting as a proxy for our external regulators, Ofwat, the Environment Agency and Drinking Water Inspectorate
  • Assisting in the preparation of regulatory compliance submissions, as necessary
  • Interfacing between the business and its external regulators on key matters of regulatory reporting
  • Influencing both, internally and externally, such that regulatory outcomes are aligned with corporate aims, objectives and transformation plan.
  • Acting as internal 'client' with relevant business functions to identify and resolve potential issues with adhoc and yearend reporting.
  • Working with the providers of internal regulatory monthly reporting providers so that 'inyear' reporting risks are appropriately identified and resolved (escalating as required).

Profile

What you will bring to the role:

  • Previous experience in a regulated utility industry or other highly regulated market combined with first class communication skills.
  • Strong Stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence outcomes.
  • Good prioritisation and organisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Quality focused, must be accurate and have attention to detail.
  • A can do attitude and strong planning experience with a proven ability in pulling together different workstreams.

Job Offer
£50,000 PA DOE plus excellent benefits
