We're hiring Upholsterers in Whitley Bay

  • Salary: £12.33 per hour (first 3 months probation then £12.82 per hour)
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Hours: 39 hours per week
  • Immediate Start
  • Permanent position
  • Location: Whitley Bay, UK
  • English Required: Beginner

Duties for the Upholsterer Role:


  • Using power and hand tools making from start to finish: chairs, sofas & furniture office
  • Attach finishes, including buttons, trim, and other decorative accessories, to complete orders according to specifications.
  • Measure and cut fabric or leather pieces with the aid of patterns, stencils, and industrial cutting tools to precise sizes and dimensions.
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy in all work with the ability to produce good quality work
  • Fully skilled and experienced in all aspects of upholstery, including deep buttoning and fixed seating
  • Ability to use own initiative, work fast and under pressure to meet production demands
  • Flexible approach to working time to meet deadlines/peak workloads, team player
  • Manual handling knowledge and physically fit to lift heavy loads.
