Are you a SEMH Teacher Assistant looking for a new role in South Birmingham?

An outstanding opportunity to work at an Alternative Provision catering for KS3 and KS4 pupils as an SEMH Teacher Assistant has become available.

** £400 - £450 per week

The SEMH Teacher Assistant Role:


As an SEMH Teacher Assistant, you will primarily be providing 1:1 support for a KS4 pupil with SEMH needs, SEN and challenging behaviour.

The pupil struggles to engage in the classroom, so you will be providing in-class support, managing behaviour and ensuringprogress with learning is made.

You will also provide support on a 1:1 basis, supporting wellbeing and learning, and building a positive mentorship with the student.


The SEMH Teacher Assistant:


For this SEMH Teacher Assistant role, you must be a Level 3 SEMH Teacher Assistant with experience working with pupils with additional needs.

You must have strong behaviour management skills and be able to quickly build a strong rapport with young people soas to foster an effective mentorship.

You should have extensive experience working as an SEMH Teacher Assistant at an Alternative Provision or a similar setting, such as a Pupil Referral Unit.


The School:


This Alternative Provision located in South Birmingham caters for KS3 and KS4 pupils with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour and SEN that cannot be supported by a mainstream setting.

There is outstanding support offered by the leadership team, and there is agreat culture surrounding wellbeing and positive attitudes to learning.
