We are currently looking to recruit an experienced, confident, and ambitious data analyst from a manufacturing background to join our dynamic team based on the outskirts of Thirsk, North Yorkshire.


The key tasks for the role will be:

  • The collection, management, and manipulation of data from across the business.
  • Maintaining data integrity across all departments and having "one source of truth".
  • Working closely with the commercial team to maintain product data, including formulations, batch cards and costings, to ensure compliance is maintained.
  • Preparation of existing data for integration into a new ERP system.
  • A key member of the current ERP implementation project.
  • Reviewing and analysing labour and material usage against standard and reporting on variances with appropriate commentary.
  • Continually working to improve the quality and use of data across the business.
  • Standardising data and reporting across the business.
  • Undertaking any ad hoc data projects as required by the business.

As an individual you will possess:

  • Experience in a similar role and environment (manufacturing/engineering industry preferred).
  • Experience of using at least one ERP/MRP package.
  • A high level of competency in using Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • An IT or finance related qualification.
  • Strong reporting skills, both visually and verbally.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt to your audience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Firstrate organisational skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure, either on your own initiative or as part of a team.
