HR & RECRUITMENT ADVISOR
£28,500 - £30,000 - full time

Part-time hours will be considered

Fully office based - just outside Nottingham city centre


Overview of the role:


You must be level 5 CIPD qualified or be working towards this qualification and have a proven record within both HR and recruitment and selection.

The duties of the role:
HR Advisory elements

  • Providing advice to line managers on the HR policies and procedures to follow for HR related situations
  • Ensuring all aspects of HR administration, including new starters, leavers, variations, maternity, performance reviews, absence, references etc are produced and paperwork completed and entered into the HR database accurately and on time
  • Liaising with the Senior HR Officer / HR Director regarding advice on complex cases and HR quality monitoring
  • Monitoring fixed term end dates, probationary periods, absence triggers, completion of journey to excellence reviews and taking appropriate action to support managers with the process
  • Supporting HR casework with documentation, advice on the process, attendance at meetings for investigations, disciplinary, capabilities, grievances and appeal situations.
  • Contributing to the review and updating of all policies in the HR area
  • Ensuring customers are treated in accordance with positive HR standards and providing an approachable and open service to staff
  • Maintaining complete confidentiality and work within agreed customer service levels

Recruitment elements

  • Preparing and placing of job advertisements via the Trust recruitment system.
  • Liaising with Senior Managers and Heads of Departments to ensure timely provision of job descriptions and person specifications.
  • Dealing with recruitment enquiries from internal and external applicants.
  • Supporting managers with the short listing and interviews processes and ensuring all documentation is legally compliant and managers have the correct information and equipment. Participate on interview panels where necessary.
  • Record and retain all recruitment and selection documentation in line with policy and data protection.
  • Attending job fairs
